A new stage in the WE AREurope project — Women Empowering, Allying and Reinventing Europe on Stage
We're going to Ireland!
WE AREurope is a European project led by Théâtre & Réconciliation (Belgium) in partnership with Smashing Times (Ireland), supported by Erasmus+.
For 12 months, the project brings together migrant women and European citizens around participatory theatre workshops — to explore identities, life paths and the relationship to European values through artistic creation.
The participants create scenes inspired by their experiences, presented in public performances followed by discussions — to make visible stories that are often made invisible and to foster collective reflection on Europe, gender and diversity.
In June, our partner Smashing Times is hosting a 5-day theatre workshop bringing together a group of women living in Ireland: Irish citizens, women with migration backgrounds, European citizens, and nationals of third countries—different stories, one common language: theatre. This workshop will…
