It is transmitted in various training courses at the Free University of Brussels, the Center Rhapsodie, and the Toneelacademie of Maastricht.

Interns regularly accompany Frédérique on her missions.

HOW WAS SHE BORN?

The T&R method began during a theater workshop in Burundi, involving death row inmates and displaced people.

WHAT ARE THE FOUNDATIONS?

Bring together individuals who don't usually hang out with each other and who may be in conflict.
The actors are the people directly concerned by the issues addressed.
The actors always speak in their native language, with on-stage translation if necessary.

THE STEPS OF A REHEARSAL

Create a secure space where citizen actors feel comfortable to create. The actors form themselves into groups. They have 7 minutes to prepare an improvisation on a theme. The director identifies an anchor point to stage the scene. The stage writing is done in agreement with the actors. Scenes are created which reflect the actors' experiences.

THEMES

Themes can be imposed by donors
Or The actors choose the themes on which they will create scenes.

MOUNTING

The show created is the result of all the sketches.

AESTHETICS AND STRENGTHS

The actors are directed to create strong moments, whether funny or moving.

A musician accompanies shows in Africa or a soundtrack in Belgium
A set designer thinks about the stage space and the costumes.
